Welcome to Keithcot Farm Primary School

Principal's Welcome

Keithcot Farm School has had a long reputation for being a good school. Within this website you will find information about our school community and the learning activities of our students. I am sure that you will also find a sense of pride, an enthusiasm for learning and a desire, not to just be a good school but to be a great one!

Our school’s motto is ‘Linking Learning to Life’. I am pleased to say that our everyday curriculum, our international program, our strong emphasis on behaviour, respect, good manners and the culture of this school give our motto real substance. I am also pleased to say that this is an ongoing process of improvement for us. We do not claim to be perfect but we do have an aspiration that our students will be great adults, employable and great members of our community. We are always looking for ways to strengthen what we are offering to our students and their parents.

Keithcot Farm School is regularly visited by educators and educational leaders from around the world. They come to see what we do and how we do it but we also learn from them. Our students are growing up in a world where they will travel further than their parents and where they will work and live well beyond their local communities. Helping them to understand this world is a part of our mission.

We have a strong commitment to using technology as a learning tool. All of our teaching and learning areas have interactive white boards and computer access. In addition students also have the opportunity to engage with technology differently through our robotics program. While these technologies continue to have a place in our learning programs, we have also ventured into the use of iPads across all classes and all areas of the curriculum. The portability and creativity of these devices adds a particular dimension to the teaching and learning process and it makes use of the technology commonly in use in the community. These technologies are a window to a world beyond the school boundaries and they connect our students to that world.

Learning is an active process and this website opens the door for our community on many examples of that activity. I am proud of the professional staff, the parents and students who make Keithcot Farm a ‘great’ school.

We would welcome your contact with us and the opportunity to share more of our school community with you.

We hope that you have a great day.
